Our 1/ST Horse Care Veterinarian Team is hiring a Lasix Veterinarian to join us in South Florida. This position is an opportunity to work at world-class Thoroughbred training and racing facilities in sunny Hallandale and Boynton Beach.

The Lasix Veterinarian is responsible for administration of furosemide to approved horses on race day. Enjoy flexible scheduling with minimum commitments of one shift per week and on-the-job training. Recent graduates are welcome to apply. 

If interested, additional shifts may be available to assist the Veterinarian team to ensure equine safety during training and racing at Gulfstream Park and Palm Meadows Thoroughbred Training Center. Training and ongoing support is provided for all positions.

·        Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited US college required. New and recent graduates are welcome to apply.

·        Exposure to horse racing industry preferred, but not required.

·        Membership in the AAEP preferred.

·        Ability to obtain a Florida Veterinary License

·        Ability to obtain a Florida Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering License

·        Demonstrated expertise in making sound and valid decisions in high pressure situations.

·        Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.

·        Strong computer skills to include effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.

·        Strong written and oral communication skills required.
