Central Washington Equine Hospital is looking to add to its team of associate veterinarians. CWEH (Central Washington Equine Hospital) is the only equine practice serving Ellensburg and the surrounding communities. CWEH was started in 2020 as a solo sports medicine practice and has grown to offer elective surgical services, 24-hour emergency care, alternative medicine, and reproduction. Our 10,000 square foot hospital which was completed in 2022 houses a surgical suite, ICU, exam rooms, and a full-length indoor lameness pad complete with heating, a/c, as well as an off-site reproduction center completed in 2023. Our ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about the opportunity to grow with a newly developing practice, possess a strong work ethic, and is a team player with a passion for providing excellent veterinary care. They are experienced in reproductive care with a dedication to support and build a service of their own. Our current reproductive services include: ? AI with Fresh cooled and Frozen semen ? Fresh cooled and frozen semen analysis ? Embryo flushes and transfers, including frozen embryos ? Transvaginal oocyte aspirations ? Limited amount of recipient mare management CWEH currently accepts a limited number of mares a year to be artificially inseminated with fresh or frozen semen. We offer embryo transfers and assist with recipient mare management for clients that have their own herds. Our repro season is roughly March-July for artificial inseminations with some after-season work including breeding soundness exams, pregnancy checks, and transvaginal oocyte aspirations. Our daily schedule consists of reproduction work in the mornings and a number of general appointments in the afternoons, as the schedule allows. All of our reproductive work is done at a facility with a climate-controlled lab, 2 sets of stocks, 7 indoor stalls with time-controlled lights, and 12 covered runs for housing mares during the reproductive season. CWEH boasts a full complement of LVTs, veterinary assistants, receptionists, and administrative staff. As well as state of the art modalities such as DR, U/S, endoscopy, regenerative therapies, etc. CWEH offers competitive salaries, including signing and retention bonuses, relocation assistance, and a benefit plan.
