Seeking an energetic, compassionate, experienced Veterinarian with the abilities to perform high-volume, high-quality Spay and Neuter Surgery in our High volume surgical center. Animal Birth Control has been offering Spay & Neuter services to the community since 2003. Our spay neuter department is equipped with heated surgical tables, top of the line monitors, anesthesia machines and equipment, and a highly trained surgical staff!!
Job duties include: Examining clients dogs & cats pre-op to determine appropriateness for surgery, performing surgical sterilizations – 25 to 30 per day. Examining animals post-op as necessary to ensure appropriate healing. Inoculating animals and provide recommendations for follow-up care. Supervise handling and recording of controlled substances by veterinary technicians and supervise the surgical team. Remain current on safe and efficacious medical protocol regarding anesthesia and surgery through continuing education. Responsible for the daily care of all surgical patients, ensuring all clinic staff members are adhering to proper pre-, peri- and post-operative care of patients.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Licensed or ability to obtain a license with the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Board DEA license or ability to obtain one High Volume/High-Quality Spay Neuter training is desired or experience preferred Veterinary Liability Insurance required Experience and commitment to responsible veterinary duties in a leadership role Ability to perform all surgeries, direct the medical team and establish medical policies
