Hiring process at a glance:
If after an initial visit or visits, you're interested in the next step, we would love to take that step with you. That would be a jointly created and agreed upon Mentorship or Employment agreement. The detail of this mentorship / employment agreement is created jointly. We sit down with you and talk about what's important to you and what's important to us and then we decide upon the terms that best fit you and Cache Meadow. The duration of the agreement can vary. If you want the initial agreement to be multiple years or a year or less, all are achievable. This establishes mutually agreeable expectations that professional relationships require to be successful. A mentor will always be available in person or via phone so the newly hired candidate feels comfortable to proceed practicing competent veterinary medicine in the way they choose.
Once the agreement is complete, the candidate would begin working in a way and at a pace that is established by the candidate in close coordination with the mentoring veterinarian. We want our candidate to feel free to finally practice medicine the way they have envisioned. We also want our candidate to feel empowered, but also cared for and supported. You can be assured that we will work with you at your pace and your comfort level. The degree of support and what that support looks like will vary for each candidate. We are flexible and adaptable, a great benefit of working at privately owned practice with our 3-person management team.
Your mentor will be one of the practice owners. Your influence on the practice will be significant and you will see the blossoms of your efforts immediately. It's a beautiful and rewarding thing to work here.
Whether you are interested in full time or part time work, seasonal, long-term or short-term work, we are interested in you! Are you interested in working evenings, weekends only, after hours, or standard 9-5 hours? Then we want to meet with you and talk more about what your contribution would look like for both you and for us.
Are you interested in developing a specialty skill or two without specializing? Are you interested in focusing a little more on exotics or an avenue of veterinary medicine that we don't currently offer? That would be FANTASTIC!! We are looking to expand our offering to our clients and you may be the key to our next successful step. Are you interested in practicing only with cats or only with dogs? Are you intertested in practicing with cats and dogs and working a common schedule? Then we want to talk to you. We can be very flexible and adapt to candidates likes and strengths, which will strengthen our offering to our veterinary community.
Hours worked, days worked, will be determined based upon the candidate's desired schedule and how that schedule will fit into our workplace.
