We offer:
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications - $125,000 - $135,000
Four day work week (including up to 2 Saturdays per month)

Responsibilities:
Medical:
Provide compassionate, high quality preventive and wellness care
Work in a high volume environment that maximizes the number of patients we can help
Perform physical examinations, offer limited treatment/diagnostic recommendations, prescribe medications, and explain discharge information for common conditions
Think quickly on your feet and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications
Triage and refer cases that do not fit within our clinic’s parameters
Provide support to high volume, high quality spay neuter surgery team as needed
Client Service:
Create a warm and welcoming environment for all clients
Communicate with clients in a respectful, nonjudgmental manner
Discuss importance of preventive and basic wellness care with pet owners
Provide clear discharge instructions and oversee the dispensing of any medications
Occasionally field post-operative questions and concerns
Administration/Team Management:
Foster a collaborative environment, assisting team members as needed
Communicate effectively with all clinic staff
Support staff training and development
Support records maintenance and treatment recommendations in our clinic software
Who you are:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), licensed or able to be licensed in New York State
Knowledge and experience in preventive medicine and basic surgery techniques
Positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and ability to change direction based on the needs of the team
Strong leadership skills or willingness to learn

We’re seeking compassionate, organized and detail-oriented individuals to represent our brand new nonprofit veterinary clinic opening in Flatbush, Brooklyn in the summer of 2023. This new veterinary clinic will expand affordable access to thousands of New York pet owners and rescue volunteers – saving thousands of lives each year.
