Creek and Meadow Veterinary Hospital, a fast-growing mixed-animal practice in Gretna, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, knowledgeable veterinarian to join our team! Whether you are focused on large animals, small animals, or both then we are interested in meeting you!
Creek and Meadow Veterinary Hospital offers a large variety of services to both small and large animals. We offer appointments and drop-offs to our small animal clients, and haul-in appointments and farm calls to our large animal clients. Our new, well-designed hospital includes facilities for small animal medicine and surgery, large animal treatment for handling in a climate-controlled space, attached stalls with 24/7 monitoring, and safe turnout paddocks. We are well-equipped for both large and small animals with digital radiography, ultrasound, power dentistry tools, and an in-house laboratory.

Responsibilities
Determine clients’ needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver high-quality care while minimizing patient discomfort.
Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines, preventive care, and appropriate nutritional products.
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept current through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
Maintain licensure, stay current with new information in veterinary medicine, and attend continuing education.
Positively represent the hospital to our clients and community.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
Licensure in good standing (or ability to obtain licensure) to practice in Virginia
Current, active driver’s license
Ability to reliably commute and perform the physical duties associated as required in the practice of veterinary medicine
Professional conduct, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics, and staying current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
