Sebastian Animal & Bird Hospital has a full, compassionate support staff and offers unparalleled mentoring to a veterinary student who wants to provide high quality, compassionate medicine and surgery to all our patients. We offer a superior work-life balance with no on call emergencies. We highly value our client-staff communication and hope to foster long-term relationships with pets and their pet parents. The hospital has been established for over 30 years and has retained clients from the beginning.
Our animal hospital is a full service veterinary hospital that treats approximately 50% exotics (small mammals, birds, and reptiles) as well as standard domestic animals (dogs and cats). We offer top of the line diagnostics to allow full work ups (digital radiographs, ultrasound, full in-house laboratory diagnostics, and laser and light therapy) .
We are currently able to support an externship for a third or forth year veterinary student who has an interest in medicine and surgery for many of the smaller species (dogs, cats, birds [including psittacine, passerines, poultry and waterfowl], rabbits, ferrets, other small mammals [including but not limited to hedgehogs, chinchillas, guinea pigs, callitrichids, etc], reptiles, PBP, and a random small ruminant).
If you are interested in learning more about the externship positions we have available, please reach out to us during our business hours: 8 am-5 pm Monday through Friday, 8 AM-12 PM on Saturdays or you may contact us by email at sebastiananimalhospital@comcast.net or by phone at 772-589-6553.
