Colby Community College is accepting applications for an adjunct Veterinary Nursing Instructor in the On-Campus and Distance Learning Veterinary Nursing programs.  Must have the ability to implement strategies that motivate students to complete course objectives. In addition to on-campus and online instruction, the successful candidate will assess student learning. An understanding of learning technologies and the use of multi-media to enhance learning and critical thinking is a must. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse student population are necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong knowledge and experience in working with veterinary clinics.
• Must possess the ability to motivate and inspire students.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
• Kansas license or ability to obtain the license prior to starting.
• A minimum of four years of veterinary experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience teaching experience preferred. 
• Experience with mixed animal practice (including cattle and horses) preferred.

SALARY

$600 per credit hour taught.
