Who we are:
Our group consists of 10 veterinarians, supported by wonderful staff, who all enjoy what we do. We work together and have fun together, and even try to make each other laugh along the way. While we have been partnered with VCA for just a year, many of us have been practicing together for more than a decade. We like to share our knowledge and teach our skills every day.

Soft tissue surgery (mass removals, abdominal surgery, laryngeal tie back, TECA, advanced tissue flap and reconstructive surgery, diaphragmatic hernia)
Emergency surgery (C-section, foreign body, GDV, wound repair, splenectomy)
Medical diagnostics:
Ultrasound - multiple new SoundLogic machines including a portable unit for use in emergencies, several veterinarians with advanced training in ultrasound and echocardiographic technology for diagnostic purposes
State of the art in-house laboratory capabilities including full CBC, Chemistry, and urinalysis as well as PT/PTT, lactate, and EPOC (point of care blood gas)
Brand new Sound Eklin Musica 2 radiography system with immediate point of care radiologist interpretation available for live time read outs
Endoscopy and rhinoscopy capabilities
Acupuncture
State of the art dental suite and advanced dentistry capabilities
Three fully functional dentistry tables
Two dental radiography units, one wall mounted unit and one hand-held unit for flexibility to move around the hospital
Multiple veterinarians with continuing education experience in dentistry

In November of 2020 Hyannis Animal Hospital became VCA Hyannis Animal Hospital. Two of the three former owner's are still here and the majority of our ten vets have been here as both . Having VCA's support system, additional resources and countless advancement opportunities paired with a present and passionate owner has allowed us to "stay who we are" and gain so much more. With these combined efforts and in great part due to VCA, we have achieved a ratio over 2:1 (Technician to Veterinarian) with 24 nurses/assistants on staff.
Talented Veterinarians with a variety of skills, all excited to teach what they know. We provide mentorship that you might not find anywhere else. Want to learn ultrasound? We'll teach you. Advanced dentistry? Our dental suite includes two 42" HD TVs to interpret your radiographs on. Would you like to learn to use a soft tissue ligasure device? Our surgery suite provides not only ligasure but bipolar and monopolar cautery. Orthopedics? We have two pneumatic saw/drill set ups.
Our attitude is: the more of us with advanced skills simply makes us all better at what we do. We are not a referral hospital but we aren't your average group of GP's either.
No on call and no solo shifts
