The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Michigan State University, East Lansing, is offering a residency training program in veterinary microbiology. The program provides interested veterinarians with a solid, broad base in microbiology through diagnostic casework, course work, seminars, and research. The goals of the program are to produce well-trained, board eligible microbiologists who function effectively in a variety of capacities that ensure human, animal and environmental safety and who are qualified to pursue careers in academia, industry or government. The program will contribute to preparation for certification by the American College of Veterinary Microbiology. The current salary for the first year of the residency program is $42,000
