On Point Animal Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC is hiring a practice manager to add to our multi- doctor practice in the southern portion of Myrtle Beach. As our practice, staff, and clientele grow we recognize the need for a practice manager to supplement our current leadership model. We are looking for a proactive individual that will lead the daily operations of the business yet not work directly with patients. A practice manager would act as an asset to lead, improve, enhance, and develop ideas to improve our team. In turn this will allow us to provide better care for our patients and the clients that bring them in
The ideal candidate must:
Be familiar with the inner workings of a veterinary hospital, the software, the equipment, inventory, food, supplies, and medications
Be familiar with OSHA and DEA requirements
Be familiar with financial aspects of a veterinary practice
Have excellent Human Resource abilities to conduct performance reviews, address veterinarian and staff concerns, and know when to involve the owners
Be able to recruit, train, and keep veterinary staff and assist the owners with DVM recruitment
Have strong attention to detail, be organized, and have strong time management skills, adding priority to tasks that need to be accomplished in a timely manner
Proactively develop plans, innovate, and prevent issues instead of reacting to them after the fact
Maintain themselves with a positive attitude and show compassion and empathy to both 2 and 4 legged friends.
Forecast changes in the business and be able to plan for the future
Create social media and online content to engage our clients
Mitigate reviews and negative client experiences to satisfy the patient, the practice, and the owner
Interact with additional managerial staff, veterinarians, and owners
Continue to foster a fun, positive work environment
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years in Veterinary Management/leadership in a multi-doctor or multi-practice environment
A four-year college degree or Certified Veterinary Practice Manager
Positive client communication
Leadership abilities to interact with owners, veterinarians, staff, vendors
Strong computer, social media, and IT skill
Strong verbal and written communication skills, listening ability, and solution skill
