Job Description

Two doctor, small animal / exotic clinic looking for a full-time veterinary technician (Experience preferred but we can train the right candidate) for our Wheeling, IL location.

We are looking for a compassionate, self-motivated, dependable technician with a positive attitude who can work both independently and as a team player.

Utilize all of your technical skills - Duties include (but not limited to):

* Client Interaction and Education – obtain patient histories, explain discharge and medication

instructions, make progress calls, etc.

* Animal restraint / Assisting doctors in exam rooms

* Care and treatment of hospitalized patients

* Basic in-house laboratory / presurgical screening

* Anesthesia monitoring and recovery

* Surgical preparation and assistance; Sterilization of instruments

* Taking digital radiographs

* Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Applicants must be willing to work both morning and evening shifts, and 2–3 Saturdays a month. Compensation based on experience. Health, Dental, vision, pet related benefits, paid vacation, paid holidays, training programs and uniform reimbursment available.
