Barton Heights Veterinary Hospital is looking for an emergency veterinarian to join our amazing team!

Barton Heights is an AAHA accredited, 24 hour hybrid practice located in Stroudsburg, PA. We are a full service small animal hospital offering general practice and emergency services. We are fully equipped with an in house Idexx laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiographs (including dental), laser surgery, and endoscopy. We have a veterinarian on staff who uses the underwater treadmill and cold laser to provide physical rehabilitation to our patients. Furthermore, we utilize the services of a board certified cardiologist and board certified surgeon who come in routinely to perform any advanced diagnostics or surgeries as needed. This position offers a schedule allowing for a great work/life balance - ER flex, which consists of 10 overnight shifts per 4 weeks for $140K. You will also be eligible for full benefits, $5,000 annual CE allowance, reimbursement for membership dues and license fees, and up to $20,000 sign on/retention bonus. 

If you live outside of Stroudsburg, but are interested in this opportunity, we are happy to offer a travel stipend, as well as a schedule with multiple shifts in a row.

Barton Heights is located in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, which is in the heart of the beautiful Pocono Mountains.  This area allows for numerous outdoor activities in any season, including hiking, biking along the many trails, fishing and canoeing at the Delaware Water Gap, whitewater rafting, and snow skiing at the one of the many mountain resorts. If you want to take a quick getaway to a larger city, Stroudsburg is less than a 2 hour drive to Philadelphia and New York City. Our medical director has traveled all over the country and can attest to what a beautiful place the Poconos are to live, work, and play.
