The Valley Green Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned, progressive 2 doctor small animal practice located in south central Pennsylvania.  

We are hiring a passionate veterinarian to fill a full-time OR part-time position.  

As a veterinary associate at the Valley Green Veterinary Hospital you can enjoy a 2-4 day work week with NO WEEKENDS EVER!  We are closed on all major holidays and have no on-call shifts. We are open 8am - 6pm Monday through Friday with our last appointment ENDING at 5pm.  Do you know what that means? That means you have an entire hour after appointments to complete your notes and calls.  Did I mention the daily 12pm-2pm break?  This allows out staff and doctors to take a break, catch-up, and ensure everyone gets a lunch.

We are a full service paperless veterinary hospital with a full in-house laboratory (Idexx), anesthesia monitoring, digital x-rays (all films are sent out for radiologist review), digital dental x-rays, ultrasound, blood pressure, tonopen, a comprehensive on-site pharmacy as well an online pharmacy. 

We offer a wide variety of surgical options including spays, neuters, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, and dentistry. 

Our nursing staff is extremely knowledgeable and well trained.  They are trained on tier-learning system and do not progress to the next skill without showing proficiency in the lower level skills.  We have bi-weekly nurse meetings to keep the staff up to date on policy/protocol changes, to discuss new products/equipment, and to learn new things!  The nurses are trained to make most labwork call backs after the doctors have reviewed the them and created a plan which significantly frees up doctor time.
