About Houston Pets Alive!
There are 1.2 million stray animals and two open-intake shelters in Houston. Houston Pets Alive! works with BARC and Harris County Animal Shelters, as well as other smaller municipal shelters and pounds, to increase live outcomes. We’re not your average rescue. We act as a safety net for our municipal shelters, to save the animals who have no other options. Every day we receive a list of animals who are at risk of euthanasia. We save as many animals as we can, so long as we have the foster manpower for it. We know that saving lives is a community effort, and we’re committed to saving the lives that others won’t. We are committed to developing programs alongside our local shelters, and together, we will work to save even more lives.
Houston Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 organization (EIN 46-5455638) comprised of animal loving volunteers and staff who never stop working to save the next life.
