Sequoyah Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time and potentially also a part-time veterinarian to add to our busy practices – we have opportunities for both small animal exclusive and mixed animal practitioners. We are located in Soddy Daisy, TN, about 15 minutes outside of Chattanooga, but in an area that caters to those who might be looking for more space and fresh air while still being convenient to fun and activities. We love our clients and work to offer them tailor made medicine to fit their needs whether that includes a restricted budget or more extensive specialty options. We are a moderately fast paced clinic that offers in-house ULTRASOUND and labwork, DIGITAL RADIOLOGY (DR), K4 LASER, dentistry with DENTAL XRAY and a TONOVET Plus. We also perform various soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. In addition, the practice has recently become a Zoetis approved reproductive and FREEZE FACILITY with some freeze storage availability. Our staff currently includes 4 veterinarians, 5 dual trained receptionists, 12 veterinary assistants, 2 certified veterinary technicians, 4 kennel technicians, an office manager and a practice manager. Additionally, we have 2 certified MASTER DOG TRAINERS at our training academy and 4 EXPERIENCED GROOMERS (as well as full-time bathers) in our adjoining grooming facilities. The practice is centrally located within a 15,000 square foot building with adjoining K9 training business on one end and boarding facilities on the other. A grooming salon is also located next door to the practice. The practice has the ability to expand another 4,000 - 5,000 square feet. We provide a fully stocked pharmacy and have a well equipped surgical suite. There is also 21 large (150-200 sq. ft. each) outdoor, private, wooden double-fenced kennels that are utilized to ensure all patients are comfortable, secure while still having a chance to stretch their legs a bit when boarding. The hospital is continuously growing and expanding. We are excited about our growth and look forward to adding a new DVM or 2 to our team. All applicants should look at themselves as team players and advocates for the best patient care while being cognizant of our clients' wishes and financial abilities. There are additional opportunities available for those interested in equine or large animal medicine as we have branched out to provide AMBULATORY services for not only LARGE ANIMALS but COMPANION animals as well. We have fully equipped ambulatory truck to support our mobile services. Additionally, we have 2 other sister hospitals: the larger sister hospital that is about 15 minutes away, 5000 square feet and is also looking for an associate veterinarian (digital xray, dental xray, ultrasound, surgery suite, etc.) Our second sister hospital is ~ 20 minutes away and is a bit slower paced. Salary and benefits are negotiable with commensurate experience. There are NO “on-call” requirements for small animal as we have nearby 3 after-hour/specialty facilities; however, veterinarians are welcome to take after hour calls IF DESIRED as they can be very lucrative. New graduates welcome to apply. Mentorship is available.
