For 50 years, Lashley Animal Hospital has served the animals of the St. Louis Metropolitan Area through compassionate acute and preventative care of companion animals. Our multi doctor team seeks a part-time or full-time Veterinarian.  

We are looking for someone who is willing to go above and beyond to provide loving care to their patients and families. A veterinarian who believes in client education and follow up is a must. Annually recognized by the community as one of the best veterinary practice in the area, our staff is known for providing quality care and building long-lasting client relationships.

Our practice focuses on preventative care through annual examinations and vaccinations, treatment of acute injuries and illness, long-term care plans for chronic injuries or illness, skilled surgery, nutrition and wellness education, dental care, and much more. Our facility includes in-house digital radiography, digital dental radiography, in house blood/fecal/urine laboratories, cold laser, surgical facilities, and an on-site pharmacy. After hours emergencies are referred to nearby emergency care facilities.

Based in the continually growing St. Louis suburb of Swansea, Illinois, we are an easy 15-20 minute commute by car from downtown.  We have beautiful neighborhoods, excellent school districts, parks and recreation areas, and, best of all, a population of devoted pet owners. We are surrounded by the communities of Shiloh, Belleville, Collinsville, Edwardsville, Fairview Heights, Lebanon, O’Fallon, Scott Air Force Base, and Alton to name just a few.  

We are looking for:

  • 1+ years experience working as a practicing veterinarian
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (Illinois license not required for consideration)
    •  
  • Diagnostic skills with the ability to assess and treat symptoms.
  • General surgical skills. Advanced surgical skills are a plus.
  • Ability to comfortably engage with clientele. 
  • Someone that will go above and beyond for their patients.
  • A team player that brings a positive and fun attitude to our already excellent team
