Stafford Veterinary Center located in Stafford Springs, CT is looking for Associate Veterinarians to join our growing practice!
We are a busy, well established, multi-doctor, mixed animal practice located in a quiet corner of Connecticut. We offer care for small, large, and exotic animals. We are an established practice of 39 years, consisting of two locations, four full time doctors, and a talented growing support staff. We are in the process of building and relocating to a larger 24 hour facility, and are seeking mixed practitioners, small practitioners, and emergency practitioners both full time and part time. Duties can be tailored to fit individual interest and new graduates are encouraged to apply for mentoring. Our practice is seeking veterinarians who are energetic, well-rounded, compassionate, and looking to build lasting relationships with clientele and animals.
We will be offering both day and evening hours as well as weekends, and no emergency medicine is required unless you express an interest in it.
Our Stafford Springs offers a small town country environment, while still being in close proximity to the University of Connecticut, a two hour ride to New York, and only an hour and a half ride to Boston.

Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes;
perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental
procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while
minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a
diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generate and present a treatment plan for
the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including
vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all
necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols; assist
colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary
medicine, attend Continuing Education meetings.
Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to

We are in the process of building a new facility. We are open 24 hours seven days a week. We are looking for mixed practioner as well as small animal practioner. Full time and part time.
