Established in 1998, we are a daytime and emergency practice that thrives to provide the highest standard of patient care that a general practice can provide; modeling it after the university standard. Culture is an important part of our practice. We have fun utilizing the “taking flight” DISC personality assessment for team-building and increased cohesiveness of the team. Doctors are assigned a technician that works with them throughout the day. Each doctor has an assigned surgery day each week. For new doctors, the owner is available if needed to assist the doctor in any surgeries that are new to them or that they currently don’t have a comfort level with. We are paperless and work off of apple laptops. ICU is paperless as well with electronic ICU sheets for real time changes to treatment and posting of results. Doctors are responsible for just being doctors. We have a great support staff that is comprised of numerous CVTs, pre-med students and veterinarians from other countries that strive to obtain their veterinary license here in the US. The majority of our shifts are 4 days on alternating with 4 days off. This allows for a good work-life-balance & a schedule that does not commit any one doctor to working every weekend.

To show our commitment to quality care for pets, we boast Miami’s premier pet resort on our property: “Woodland Lodge Pet Resort”. For maintaining the highest standard of medical care, both facilities are run as completely separate businesses to maintain the resort as a disease free environment.

We offer paid externships for senior vet students to give them an opportunity to come work with our team. We have had several externs and new doctors and level of mentorship is individualized to the needs & desires of the student or new doctor.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about high quality patient care and are skilled in communicating effectively with pet owners. Our Doctors must also have the personality to work comfortably with colleagues and staff in a collaborative, respectful, professional manner as we value our team culture.
