Amanda Animal Hospital in Lancaster, Ohio is looking for a mixed animal veterinarian to join our growing practice. We are a busy, 2.5-doctor practice that provides quality veterinary care for large and small animals. Our practice is equipped with digital radiology (including portable), IDEXX in-house lab, ultrasound (also portable), endoscopy, an equine surgical suite, and a livestock haul-in facility. Two mobile units with fully-stocked Bowie units are available for on-farm calls. The fun and welcoming team maintains an efficient and enjoyable work environment by being proactive to the needs of our doctors, patients, and clients.
Lancaster is a great place to live and work. Located in Fairfield County, it is only a 45 minute drive to Columbus, Ohio. The area provides plenty of amenities to explore, such as shopping, dining, and entertainment. There are also great opportunities to enjoy outdoor recreation, as the nearby Hocking Hills area offers trails for hiking, biking, and camping. Close to several state parks, the area offers opportunity for canoeing, fishing and water sports. This is a great place to raise a family, with excellent schools and a strong 4H program.

Approximately 40 hour work week with 1 full-day off during the week. On-call duties are shared among the veterinarians evenly during the week and on weekends.

Amanda Animal Hospital is a 2.5 doctor mixed animal practice in central/SE Ohio, located approximatley 45 minutes southeast of Columbus, Ohio. The practice offers services to both large and small animals in Fairfield County, as well as several of the other surrounding counties (Hocking, Licking, Vinton, Perry, Pickaway, etc.). The practice is located in Lancaster, OH and features 2 small animal exam rooms, surgery suite, isolation ward, large kennel area (with outdoor runs), digital and portable radiography, ultrasound (portable), equine surgery suite and hospitalization stall, 2 additional large animal hospitalization stalls, equine stocks, indoor cattle chute and portable cattle chute for on-farm services. Two mobile units with fully-stocked Bowie units are used for on-farm medicine. The practice is roughly 70% small animal, 30% large animal - which consists of cow/calf beef operations, 4H animals, swine, small ruminants, and equine.
