Cobb and Cherokee Emergency Veterinary Referral Centers:
Quality emergency veterinarians are needed to adjunct our busy emergency/critical care team. We prefer internship trained DVMs or those with at least 2 years of emergency/critical care experience, but if you have a sincere interest in emergency medicine we have successfully executed creative mentorship plans in the past. We are ready to do them again with the right candidate(s) should you have less experience with a sincere interest in emergency/critical care medicine.
We have two locations of service with state of the art equipment, depth of inventory, and quality trained support staff within 15 miles of one another in the Atlanta metro area. Our Cobb facility (Marietta, GA) is a 24/7 emergency/critical/specialty care hospital with full ICU capabilities. Our Cherokee facility (Woodstock, GA) is currently open from 4 pm to 9 am on weekdays and 24 hours/day during weekends and holidays and is also a complete emergency/critical/specialty care hospital with full ICU capabilities. Our desire is to hire up to achieve a 15 doctor compliment of emergency DVMs to enable us to begin 24/7 service at our Cherokee facility. In addition to our emergency services, we currently have internal medicine, surgery, and ophthalmology specialty services at our Cobb facility and surgery and neurology specialty services (with MRI) at our Cherokee facility.
We are offering a compensation package that includes a highly competitive base salary package and Pro-Sal production based bonus pay with substantial escrow benefits/options, paid vacation and CE time, company medical/dental/life insurance plan and subsidy, a flexible schedule that involves only ~33 to 40% overnight shifts and includes work at both facilities, company matching 401K plan, Flex spending account option, and much more. We offer up to $1000 moving expense reimbursement if you are joining our team.
If a fast paced environment with a variety of interesting and challenging emergency and critical care cases is what inspires you within our career, you may be a good fit to adjunct our team. Our emergency DVMs perform emergency surgeries and field an ~10% exotic caseload. Board certified surgeons are on call 24/7, and our internal medicine service performs weekend and holiday emergency ultrasounds and consults in addition to standard hours of operation which enables early intervention and the most appropriate care and therapy for our emergency and critical care patients. Our neurologists see cases and perform MRI scans 6 days/week. If interested, please send resume/CV/letters of intent to our CMO/Medical Director, Dr. Michael Grasso, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applicants must be a doctor of veterinary medicine in good standing with a license (or in the process of obtaining their license) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of GA.
We prefer applicants to be intersnhip trained individuals or those with at least 2 years of emergency/critical care experience; however, if you have less experience and sincere interest in emergency/critical care we are happy to discuss a creative mentorship employment program as we have executed these successfully in the past.
Additional Salary Information: Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience; Company matching 401K; paid vacation; company subsidized medical, dental, vision, life insurance; opportunity to earn more with preferred relief shift status; holiday pay; optional Flexx spending account; employee pet benefits; more
