Part-time small animal or mixed animal associate position.
Candidate should be interested in practicing high quality medicine in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. We have a new hospital and are very well equipped with in-house lab, digital x-ray, CO2 surgical laser, therapy laser, ultrasound, doppler BP, IV fluid pumps, and tonometry. Our practice is located within an affluent community, and our clients demand thorough examinations, thoughtful explanations for treatment plans, and thorough diagnostics. Our new associate should be comfortable in the exam room, as well as performing routine surgeries. We have a wonderful support staff in which to delegate diagnostics tests and treatments. In addition we work as the exclusive veterinarian for our county Animal Control and Adoption Center. Through this relationship we see a wide range of caseload, as well as perform low cost spays and neuters. We are a busy practice, but not overwhelming crazy. If candidate desires, position may include 15-20 % large animal. If large animal is desired associate would share in after hour emergency coverage for large animals only. Our large animal case load is 85% equine and 15% small ruminants with an occassional bovine. Our large animal service is well equipped with Cuattro Digital Wireless Xray, powerfloat and dremel, SAA testing and complete lab testing in-house. We perform small ruminant surgery in-house.

About Animal Medical Hospital at Glenwood, Inc.
We are a three doctor, mixed animal practice located in central Maryland. One of our doctors practice strictly small animal medicine, and two of our doctors practice both large and small animal medicine. Our practice offers digital x-ray, ultrasound, full in house lab, laser therapy, and a great support staff (including a large animal technician). Our large animals consist of 85% equine, 15% ruminants and occasional bovine. Our equine patients include mostly pleasure and show horses, a few broodmares, minis, and hunter/jumpers. A practice vehicle is provided. We provide 24 hour emergency service to our large animal clients, so any interested mixed animal candidates must be willing to share after hour and weekend on-call with our other large animal vets
