Experienced Veterinarian for small animal hospital 30 miles west of Charleston, SC
We are looking for an experienced veterinarian to run our extraordinary hospital, Walterboro Animal Hospital. It’s a great opportunity to work independently with the full support of the staff and owner. Buy-in is a possibility. We’re really looking for a partner. Our culture is collaborative and congenial; w like to laugh! The cost of living is very low: a 3-bedroom home sells for $75K. Ours is the only hospital in Walterboro. Yet we are 30 miles west of Charleston with great culture, shopping, schools, etc. No emergency call, schedule is Monday-Friday 8-5pm but we’re flexible. Most people work a half day on Wednesday. If you’re interested in learning orthopedic surgery, we have a great surgeon. If you’re just interested in soft tissue surgery, that works as well. Our staff does 90% of everything; we have 1 RVT and 2 assistants and 2 office staff including our hospital manager. We have a stand-alone 6000 sq. ft. building with 2 exam rooms. We have ultrasound, laser, digital x-ray (whole body and dental) is on order.
$90K plus, profit sharing (last year it was $20K), medical insurance, continuing medical education and time to attend national meeting, simple IRA with match, some relocation expenses, 3 weeks’ vacation.
