Rapidly growing mixed animal practice seeking a full-time predominately small animal associate veterinarian in the Weaverville, NC. This practice is client centered with focus on high quality veterinary medicine and a great client experience. Our goal is to hire an experienced small animal clinician comfortable with internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, chronic disease management, and basic preventative small animal health care. As a true 50:50 mixed animal practice we also see everything from sugar gliders to performance bulls so large animal, exotics, and avian experience is a plus but not required. Our team is a very close and light-hearted group. We expect applicants to be professional but also good-humored; leaving all unnecessary drama at home. You must play nice with others. We have recently moved into our new facility. This year we will be adding boarding, day care, and large animal haul-in capability to our traditional large animal ambulatory and small animal clinical practice.
Our office hours are M-F 8a-5p, Sat 9a-12p. Expect to work some Saturdays. We offer 2 weeks paid vacation, health insurance stipend, paid CE, heavily discounted pet care, and pro-sal based salary.
We are located 10 minutes north of downtown Asheville and its culinary adventures. Additionally, there are 60+ breweries in western North Carolina. Live in paradise! Step off your front porch with only minutes between you and world class Great Smokies and Blue Ridge hiking, biking, rafting, and other outdoor activities. Asheville is small enough to have a vibrant college town feel and you can walk downtown, feeling safe. At an elevation of ~2000 feet, we experience all 4 seasons.
Please submit a letter to our email detailing why you would be a great fit for our practice as well as your resume and references.
