We are seeking a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our cardiology department.
As a CVT in our cardiology department, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients through compliance with the cardiologist's orders. On a daily basis, you will work closely with the cardiologist to manage chronic and new cardiology patients and will assist the cardiologist with diagnostics including echocardiography, obtaining ECG traces, and setting up patients with holtor monitoring. In addition, you will check in patients, calculate medical dosages and administer medications, run in-house lab work, place tubes and catheters, monitor and ensure patients' comfort, support and monitor sedated or anesthetized patients, update clients on their pet's progress with education on chronic and acute care, and perform a variety of other tasks. This requires solid technical skills and your commitment to providing patients and clients with the highest standard of care.?
