Cornell University Veterinary Specialists (CUVS) is seeking an internship (or equivalent) trained Emergency Doctor to join our ECC Department. CUVS is a rapidly growing specialty and emergency center, affiliated with Cornell University. Our missions are to provide exceptional and innovative medicine within a patient-centered model of care, and to provide outstanding service that respects the needs of the client and the referring veterinarian. CUVS boasts a level I VECCS-certified ECC Department that has the staff, expertise, tools and technology for optimum patient care. The department includes an Emergency Service and a dedicated ICU, an exceptionally talented nursing staff that includes several veterinary technician specialists and client liaisons. We are fully equipped with in-house lab, COP, TEG, and capabilities for mechanical ventilation, direct pressure monitoring, TPN, etc. The department is supported by strong interdepartmental collaboration. Our advanced infrastructure, technology and training enable maximum efficiency and concierge service, facilitating remarkable client and veterinarian satisfaction, and allowing our clinicians to practice optimally. CUVS has board-certified specialists in emergency-critical care (3), internal medicine (3), surgery (2), oncology, ophthalmology, dentistry and oral surgery, sports medicine and cardiology, as well as a sophisticated interventional radiology-endoscopy service. Our doctors are a cohesive team of clinicians who strongly believe in collaboration, communication, respect, and lifelong learning.
