We take the health of our client's animals seriously and treat each of them with individualized attention and the utmost care.
Northwest Indiana is the home to approximately 491,000 people in Lake County and 16...6,000 Porter County, in which we see clients travel from further distances to receive the attention from our staff.
Dr. Farrell is the current owner of the clinic with 25 years of experience and Dr. DeGraaf with 35 years of experience. Dr. Farrell sees the opportunity of a new veterinarian thriving at the Dyer Animal Clinic for years to come.
Our feline and canine services includes preventative care, wellness exams and vaccinations, emergency care, x-rays, blood work and surgeries.
In addition, we provide treatment such as spaying and neutering, ultrasonic animal dentistry and even house calls.
Helping pets from kittens and puppies through their senior years is part of what we take pride in and we hope that you will be along on this journey with us.

The Dyer Animal Clinic is approximately 2500 square feet with four(4) exam rooms with three (3) lift tables.
We have laser therapy, digital radiography and dental radiography, In-House IDEXX Laboratory, surgical suite and a new high speed dental unit.
We are willing to explore other possible expansion of services based on associate’s interests.
The building was remodeled 10 years ago to allow for expansion in size. We have a surgical suite, kennel area, X-ray room, food storage, lab/pharmacy area, and laundry room. We use Avimark as our clinic software and we are migrating to using an on-line pharmacy.
Doctors are required to wear white smocks along with casual attire or scrubs (no jeans). The veterinarian is welcome to shadow and initially scheduled to work with Dr. Farrell. This training will entail business acumen of the clinic, public relations to the clients, and to develop bonds with future clients.
The Dyer Animal Clinic is currently open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM and on Saturdays from 8 AM to Noon. We have a local emergency clinic that we refer our emergencies for after hour care. This is after hours, weekends, and holidays. The typical work week would be approximately 30-40 hours a week with rotating Saturday schedules.
