Pets Vet of Arvada is looking for the right go-getter associate veterinarian to click with our team, our clients, and our philosophy of work. For our clients, we provide affordable veterinary care, with an understanding that today’s working families need veterinary care to fit into the context of their lives. For our DVMs, we offer a challenging caseload, a supportive atmosphere to advance your skills, very well-trained and competent support staff, and a fun, fast-paced work environment. Our AAHA-accredited practice includes in-house lab and digital radiography (including dental), with a total team of 3 doctors and 3-4 dedicated, knowledgeable support staff per doctor on duty, including CVTs. Schedule is normally a set 4-5 days per week (of which one day includes a surgery morning) including rotating Saturdays. We’re closed on Sundays. We offer production-based pay, CE allowance, professional association memberships, health insurance, IRA with matching funds, and other perks.
The right person for our practice will offer:
--At least two years of solid DVM experience, with exceptional diagnostic and surgical skills.
--Enthusiasm and love for treating both cats and dogs. Exotics experience is a plus!
--Excellent proficiency in working with computers—we’re paper-light, with all records entered into our Cornerstone practice management system.
--Professionalism—is willing and able to follow our standards of care, work, and documentation; will advocate the practice and what it can offer to best meet the needs of the client; will interact with clients, coworkers, and management with respect, good nature, and confidence.
--Ability to take charge occasionally as the solo doc on duty, and to handle the flow of work through more than one exam room at a time.
