Animal ER Care is currently looking for a highly qualified technician who has strong ethics, positive and friendly social skills, great customer service skills, and a desire to use their advanced skills (such as central line placement, epidural administration, nasal cannula placement, triage, etc) on a daily basis.
Our positive culture and the genuine like we have for each other is evident at every level. We have recently lost a few of our beloved team members and wish they were able to stay in Colorado Springs. We currently have 3 open positions.
1) We are hiring for a FT/PT weekend position serving clients and patients as a Client Advocate. This technician performs advanced triage to prioritize patient load and works closely with DVM’s to educate clients and provide care for critical patients. Requires a strong veterinary knowledge base, clear ability to communicate effectively in emotional situations, and a love of clients and their pets.
2) Another great position is for a FT Weekend ICU technician. This technician must have advanced training and knowledge about basic and advanced nursing skills such as central line placement, nasal cannula placement, drug calculations, post-operative care, advanced patient assessment skills, female and male urinary catheter placement, blood transfusion medicine, ecg monitoring, and monitoring ventilator patients. HBOT experience a plus. We love utilizing our technicians to the fullest of their abilities.
3) The last position is for a FT Triage/ER/Outpatient technician. This technician triage's and stabilizes all emergencies, performs diagnostics, runs major and minor anesthesia procedures, and performs a variety of treatments.
