The Veterinarian is a very key role at PAWS Chicago Lurie Family / Spay Neuter Clinic. This person is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care for customer-owned and in-house animals present in the facility. Their ability to commit to covering at least 1 surgical shift per month is critical to the success of spay / neuter clinic.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform spay/neuter surgeries.
Perform presurgical exams.
Perform wellness exams and administer vaccines.
Manage spay/neuter complications and be available for consultation with clients as needed.
Ensure the Clinic stays at a 99% save rate from surgery.
Support a professional and positive work environment.
Potential for interdepartmental work in the Shelter Medicine program.
Passion for animals and animal welfare
Ability to multi-task.
Efficient time management skills.
Relief Veterinarian Information:
