The Veterinary Technology Program in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University invites applications from outstanding individuals for the position of Specialist-Teacher. The College of Veterinary Medicine offers an Accredited Veterinary Technology Program with two degree options, including a Certificate of Completion in Veterinary Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology. The Specialist-Teacher will deliver didactic and laboratory educational information to veterinary technology students to meet the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities Standards for Curriculum.
This position will be responsible for teaching and continuous improvement of didactic and laboratory courses and will include the development of educational support materials to facilitate online and hybridization of assigned courses.
DVM degree (or equivalent) from an American Veterinary Medical Association accredited veterinary school; licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan. A minimum of two years of clinically-related experience is preferred, but not required.
