Experienced Hospital Administrator for Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center The partners and staff of the Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center located in historic and peaceful Orchard Park, New York are seeking an experienced Hospital Administrator to join their large, state-of-the-art, 24 hour & 24 DVM medical center. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, or possess a strong interest in achieving certification in the near future. We are looking for a candidate with "Take Charge" leadership qualities, the ability to work independently and the desire to help refine our team's potential. Proficiency in technical and non-technical staff training & development is required. Strong leadership and management skills are highly valued. At least 3 years of veterinary practice management experience is required, as is a BA/BS in a business related field. The ideal candidate will be a CVPM, or CVPM eligible. Experienced veterinary managers with either a PHR or SHRM-CP human resources certification are also encouraged to apply. Individuals interested in the position must be compassionate, cheerful, possess strong leadership skills and have a good work ethic. Current licensure as a NYS LVT or VTS is also highly valued. Responsibilities include day-to-day operations with a major focus on strong human resources & personnel management responsibilities including hiring, training and leading the team. A strong commitment to client service skills is imperative to be successful in this position. Other valuable experience includes strong initiative, enjoyment of a job well done, ability to work independently, knowledge of OSHA standards, inventory control systems, and experience holding staff meetings and conducting performance reviews. Strong leadership, time management and communication skills are a must. Successful applicants must be able to adequately assess the overall performance of the practice, assess and refine the hospital's staff training & development plans, participate in the establishment and achievement of goals, analyze and implement new services, products or procedures, and present data and ideas for improvement to the practice owner.
